Ford Focus 6 cd changer

I guys, I'm very new to car audio, so a quick question

I have bought a ford focus, which has the 5000 rds head unit - it says it's cd changer compatible. I've found a few of these for sale around, but will I be able to fit it? People have said that they fit under the passenger seat, some come with/without wires. I've looked under the seat, and there are cables - but are they the ones I need? Do I just plug the changer into one of these?

Is there an easy way to find out?

thanks,

Re: Ford Focus 6 cd changer

Is the changer worth the hassle? You will not be able to pick them up for less than £50-80 and for that sort of money you can buy a single slot cd player with face plate adaptor.

thanks,

Yes, it will fit stright in buy this may require the seat removal. Most new cars are fitted with seat belt tension bolts which run into the car seating. If your unsure about this check your owner manual.
most:
Require fitting a supplied plastic clip into the locking barrel BEFORE removing the seat. You must be very careful when putting the seat down to ensure you dont set it off and break you fingers !
