has anyone bought/used/ tried the above cable.......... ak dl1?
retails between £200 and £300+.

afaik its actually just a CAT5 straight through cable! a very expensive one, my shop sells denon stuff, and when i saw the cable i was a bit miffed. ill have a proper look and find out for you though

aye, pretty sure its just a Cat5, altho might be Cat6 because its 1gb throughput i think.....could be wrong here or going mental tho..lol

anyhow, no way it should cost more than £15 like any computer based cable, its just sending digital information, so long as its shielded to prevent interference it wont make a difference how much prettier it looks on the sheathing....heh

Just get a Cat 5/5e shielded patch lead (not crossover, like game console cables tend to be) and Bob will be your close relative. Cat 6 and Cat 5e may as well be the same for these purposes, but I am not sure if the shielding is important and as the one that I have came with it, may as well stick with it.
