HDMI > Upscaling? Cable matters?

Hi all,

Just wondering.. Ive got the Panasonic SCHT-855 home cinema system and was wondering if the cable actually made a difference when upscaling the picture?

Just want to enjoy and make the most of it...

Cheers

Re: HDMI > Upscaling? Cable matters?

Hello jay 23 uk

If you have a poorly designed or manufactured cable you can degrade the signal - this will show up as 'sparkles' (random white speckles on screen) rather than a diminishing of image quality.

If you see Sparkles consider replacing the cable - if not there is little if anything to be gained by replacing the cable.

Best regards

Joe
