does the E1 play R2 NTSC discs?

Hi

Was looking at getting a HDMI DVD player to make switching simpler for me. Noticed the E1 is about £350 these days, so that could be a good option for me. i'd sell my 360 HDDVD drive making it about £220 net.

But I have quite a few R2 NTSC discs, so can anyone confirm it plays them OK?

If so I might go for it, and then wait patiently for a R1 mod

specifically I mean R2 Japanese discs. I don't see anywhere in that thread where it's answered?

It should (I don't know any UK DVD players that don't) but I want to check first that someone has tried it.
