Sony STR-DA1200ES and...speakers?

With a new 40" Sony lcd 2000W I'm upgrading a home cinema STR930 receiver which has done me proud over the last few years

I've managed to get a Sony 1200 receiver from Richer @ £299 and am looking for a replacement for my front RAM200 speakers (Do your homework and you'll find they were built in the '70's and did us proud)

I'm thinking Monitor Audio Silver RS6 or KEF IQ5

The room is 6 x 5 metres with soft furnishings and no wood floors etc

We enjoy watching concerts we could never hope to go to, such as Eagles in Melbourne 2004, Simon and Garfunkel New York, Shadows Final Tour (which we did actually see in Birmingham) Dire Straights, Abba, etc

I need sweet open music, good home cinema

Speakers either side of the tv, 1 metre away from the wall

Which best, or, what else in similar price range?
