Burning problem on Sony Vaio Ar11s

Hi guys, having a problem writing camcorder footage to DVD. Using Sony DVD+RW and Adobe premier elements to burn. Latest drive firmware up to date. First one burn't fine, second got right to the end then came up with "Error", disc was from the same batch. Any ideas? Should i ditch the software and try something else like Nero? or is it a hardware problem? any ideas greatly received as after 2 hours of waiting for it to burn then to fail is a real bummer.
