Re: Themescene HD73 owners thread

My install is provisionally booked for w/c Monday the 19th of Febrary.

The screen in up, the speakers are up, everything is wired up.

All I'm waiting for is my Toshiba E-1 (being delivered today, but there'll almost certainly be nobody home when DHL arrive, so we'll have to pick it up get it re-delivered dlater in the week), and the 73. Sadly, I hate to wait for the 73 to be announced before Sevenoaks would book me in, and February half-term is the quickest they had.

Full report & review when it arrives. I have my old H56 (a very good £2,500 projector in its time, only 3 short years ago!) set up on a tabletop, so I can hopefully do some SD/HD comparisons.

Re: Themescene HD73 owners thread

I'm particularly interested to see how the new set-up helps with RBE.

If you could do some side-by-side tests on RBE producing material, I'd love to hear how it comes out.

Re: Themescene HD73 owners thread

Looking forward to hearing opinions of this.
I would have thought someone may have posted something by now as these were shipping last week.
(impatient me!! )

Has anyone got theirs yet?

Re: Themescene HD73 owners thread

This projector is a great deal, darkchip3 for that money is a steal, would rather have one of these then a iris 1080p lcd.

What screen would you recommend to use with the HD73. I am preferably looking for a 2m electric one.

I would recommend the 6ft Aspectus electric screen.

Re: Themescene HD73 owners thread

Well my Hd73 arrived, and I gotta say coming from a Toshiba MT100 (800x600) projector to the Hd73 is a big improvement. Tried it with my Toshiba E1 over HDMI it looked really good. Haven't had time to set up the projector properly yet, but the factory settings looked pretty good. Well pleased with it so far.

Re: Themescene HD73 owners thread

We had our Demo 73 turn up yesterday, unfortunately we had sold out on the 72 before we could do a like for like, but so far the HD73 is very impressive

Nice blacks, seems a much more dynamic picture and so far no RBE
