Using a Sky+ handset with a non + box?

As the the title really. I remember someone posting a code to do this but i'll be buggered if i can find it now. The box is an old Grundig if that helps.

yellow & select (blinks twice)
0
select
SKY

If it doesn't work try 1 or 2 instead of 0 !
