Possible to play internet HD clips on HD-E1?

Hi there

I have a fast internet connection, access to an internet full of HD clips, and a DVD burner, but my pc is too slow to play the clips. Is it possible to burn these files to a regular DVD for playback in my HD-E1?

Any answers or tips much appreciated!!

I don't know about the E1, but with the A1 you can author MPEG2 TS files on a DVD-R and the player will think it's a HD-DVD. I haven't tried it myself. There's a thread on AVS (and on here linking to) about this.

I've done a quick search, but couldn't find it. Think it was about August/Sept last year.

Rob.

Re: Possible to play internet HD clips on HD-E1?

I had 2 films myself that where self created HD-DVD authored, And suprisingly they both worked in the Xbox 360 addon but when i upgraded to the E1 they would not play at all, At first i thought it was because of the DVD+R Dual layer media but i have since tried a normal dvd movie burnt on the same dual layer media and that plays fine. Looks to be player specific problem

all the ones I have done work, i find dvd-r/dl discs work better than dvd+r d/l discs dvd+rs seem to stutter and skip, also found that putting a video_ts folder with an empty video_ts.vob on the disc as well helps. Mike

Ensure your HD clips are 60Hz and not 50Hz or they won't play.

Re: Possible to play internet HD clips on HD-E1?

I have a number of HD ts files and an HD-E1. Could somebody post instructions on how to author these on a DVD -R so I can play them on this player? Is it simply a case of burning the file on the DVD?
