How to connect AVP-700 to Panasonic DMP-BD10

I have purchased a new Blu-Ray Panasonic DMP-BD10 and connected it to my AVP-700. Because of the HDMI audio not working on the AVP-700, i connected RCA cables to the analog inputs. But it seems in the on-line menu, I couldn't change the "DVD" settings audio from optical/coax to multichannel analog.

Luckily, I had the DVD connected via component and the "MCH" setting by default displays the component rather than the HDMI, so I was able to watch a new movie.

But I'd rather have the HDMI video and the MCH analog inputs working for the "DVD" setting.

The 7.1 analogue inputs only work with the MCH/DVD-A input. You can configure the AVP700 so that the HDMI picture is shown when either the DVD or DVD-A button is pressed on the AVP700 front panel.

If you want to be able to let the Arcam's (very good) DSP decode DD and DTS for normal DVD's (or BD's that don't have multi-channel PCM) via optical or coax, then the DMP-BD10's optical/coax connector will have to go to the DVD input selector as the DVD-A inputs only work in analogue direct mode and cannot be turned off... This means your player will effectively have to use both the DVD AND DVD-A inputs, but can happily show the same HDMI video through either.

yes, that's what I'd like to do. When I choose DVD-A or MCH on the remote, I'd like the HDMI DVD to display instead of the component DVD connection. I read through the manual and had a try but couldn't do it.
