Maxi eclipse? can you help?

Hi all,
I am thinking of moving into the projector market however im looking to buy a reasonably cheap second hand projector to maybe last a year or two just so i can test the water before i splash out on something more expensive.

There are a few Maxi eclipse projectors for sale in the classifieds that interest me but i cant find anything out about them on google search.

Do you folks have any knowledge of them or can you point me to a website that has some facts?

Maxi-Video Eclipse. Mostly used as a projector for football in pubs. Cheaper competitor to Seleco SVP350. Quality not as good and fewer Home Cinema features. Tubes driven hard from new to get the brightness. Doesn't bode well for tube life. Check for screen burn.

Plenty available as pubs change hands and projectors are sold off. Be careful of buying a machine that still belongs to a rental company. Avoid deals in car parks.

The Maxi is a good cheap projector.
Depending on the model, they can have an analogue chassis (as can older Barcos) which makes setup a pain and can lead to the convergence slipping (learnt from several years of setting up the old Bell and Howell units).

Speak to Roland at B4 Projection. He is on the forums a lot and has a fair stock of cheaper machines (with warrenties). I've just had one and its fab!!!
