After struggling with trying to build an HCPC around a pc that i use everyday for almost everything i came to the conclusion that it was impossible to make it stable enough to do it all.
So after seeing KRYTON i decided it had to be a stand alone unit. Here is the spec
PC CHIPS 810 Motherboard onboard sound and video (this doesnt matter if youre using a seperate hardware card)
SIGMA XCARD(mpeg4 divx, dolby digital)
TOSHIBA DVD ROM
AMD DURON 1GHZ
20Gb seagate barracuda
256 PC 133 SDRAM
400 WATT POWER SUPPLY
GLOBALWIN COOLER (24db only)
The SIGMA XCARD is connected to tv by s-video and connected to SONY940 DOLBY DIGITAL/DTS via Digital spdif.
This setup plays anything (full screen) brilliantly, it has full remote control and sits nicely in my AV Rack. Thanks to Jeff for giving me the inspiration.

What case is that?

Hi, The case is from www.kustompcs.co.uk ,its their black desktop and the size is 440x445x140. The aluminium feet i turned up myself at work and ive now put the IR receiver inside the case and put a window in one of the 3.5" bays.

btw how noisy is the PSU?, it states '(Please note PSU is not replaceable with a standard ATX PSU as it is a slightly different size)'. I was thinking of getting a quietpc PSU or another make but obviously you cant do it with this case.

Hi, the power supply that comes with it is pretty quiet but i changed it with a 400 watt enermax which is even quieter.
Yes it is a slightly different size, but as the Pcchips is a micro ATX board i had plenty of room to mount the power supply sideways and make a dummy back plate.I also changed the DVD, it was originally a pioneer slot model but this was the noisiest i have ever heard the Toshiba is really quiet.
