Question iTunes - no internet at home - downloading track info after ripping

Hi All,
I don't have an internet connection at home and at the moment I have to put in all the details manually which is a pain. I keep all my iTunes songs etc. on an external hard drive and I'm wondering if there's a way of ripping my cds and adding maybe the artist and albums names manually and the bringing the hard drive over to my brothers to get all the track information etc. from Gracenotes (or somewhere else on the web maybe?). Has anyone tried doing something like this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

itunes should do this for you, or else use mp3 tag.
