Harmony 885

Quick question: Do all 885 Harmony's come with the colour buttons i.e. Red Green Blue Yellow ? as some of the pictures i have seen of this remote have arrows on there it there place.
What are the difference between the 785 and 885 ?

Also found the 885 on Pixmania for £99 this sounds good value to me.

885 has colored button,895(us version) doesn't and that's what the picture's might of been of.

Excellent remote and price.

yeah all the european versions do, 885, 895, etc...

the us versions don't, 880, 890....

I got my 885 from Pixmania yesterday. Beware it have a European two pin adaptor and not the UK three pin. You will need a converter plug. I got one at Argos some time ago when I got a Skype phone that had the European to pin plug.

Mine was sent via Parcel Farce and apart from being two days late they even delivered it to the wrong address. I hope your Parcel Farce driver has learnt to read.

I received my 885 from Pixmania this morning and whilst it included the two pin power adaptor they also included a nice little converter plug that fits/locks onto it nicely making in not much bigger than the original adaptor.

I didn't get my adaptor. My parcel was delivered by the idiots at Parcel Farce to the wrong house and my parcel had been opened. I guess somone had my adaptor.

After almost three days Parcel Farce still cannot show me the signature of who signed for the parcel and will not answer my e-mails.

Thanks for the suggestion about the form. I shall be doing that today.

Apart from that problem, I installed the 885 and and with my setup - Sky+/TV/Pioneer DVR/Panny AV it is working perfectly, even down to the favourite channels for watching TV. I am more than pleased and I didn't even have to call the freephone number to get help. Not bad for a 70 year old.

Functionally the 785 and 885 are more or less the same. The 785 has two less soft keys than the 885. The design or each remote is very different however. The 785 follows the new Harmony design/layout similar to that used on the 525 and 555 where as the 885 uses the older style design/layout. The 785 was only released a couple of months ago in the UK so is still fairly new. You will probably be able to find the 885 a lot cheaper because it has been around for a while.

i currently use a one for all mosaic which has been very good for 3 years use but is now looking a bit tired

Am I sad in being rather excited or will i be disappointed

Thanks for all your responses, my remote was delivered today, about 2 days after i expected it !!! Parcel Farce !!

Just going through setup now...St ill taking a bit of getting used to but on a whole it is looking good.

I just ordered mine yesterday from Pixmania and there was no option to deliver by ParcelForce, just DHL

ParcelForce for me have been arlight but I much prefer DHL overall, they're more on the ball and the tracking URL is update much more frequently.
