Which Samsung MP3 Player?
I'm thinking of buying either the Samsung YP-K5 or the Samsung YP-Z5 (both 4GB versions). I was thinking to go for the YP-Z5(because of the FM radio), however i have heard that it is very hard to pick up an FM signal.
Because of this i thought i might aswell get the YP-K5 which although doesn't have Radio but is alot cheaper.
So if anyone with experience of the YP-Z5 could please let me know about the FM radio.
Thanks

I dont, because it doesn't have one ! But the K5 does.
There are advantages to buying the Z5 instead of the K5 but it depends how you use it, its laden with a few features that make in necessary for me. K5s very nice though and that speaker is pretty handy........but its larger in size.

Re: Which Samsung MP3 Player?
I recently bought a K5 for my dad and am very impressed with it. I had a few issues getting it to be recognised on my PC, but once I had upgraded to WMP 11 the right MTP drivers were picked up.
I mainly bought it for the speaker functionality which works surprisingly well for the size. However, if you don't need the speaker look at the upcoming K3.

Re: Which Samsung MP3 Player?
I recently got a Samsung yp-Z5 (which I reviewed here: Samsung Z5 review ) and for the money it's a very nice piece of kit.
It doesn't have an FM radio (as pointed out above) but does the rest very well, the updated firmware added gapless playback and custom EQ setting too which was nice. I also enjoy the album art and colour screen, while many newer mp3 players have all this and more now, the Z5 makes a 2 year old mini ipod look archaic by comparison!

Re: Which Samsung MP3 Player?
Were you able to update the firmware easily? I heard there were difficulties with the Samsung players and WMP11? Which is the main reason I haven't done mine yet!

I use UMS mode (Drag and drop), just follow the instructions to the letter and it was fine. This is my third update without any problems. Version 2.47 is out now if your interested, it speeds up the system a bit and makes the text quicker.
