Toshiba wants to sell on the CES introduced new Midprice hp DVD Player HD-A20 starting from April also in Germany. Toshiba is planning to sell the new HD-A20 midrange HD DVD player in Germany by April 2007, which was announced at the CES. As experienced in Las Vegas, the European version of the player is likely to be called the HD-E1P and its retail price will be about 100 Euros above the HD-E1 which hit stores just before the end of 2006.

The HD-E1P will carry out a 1080p signal over its HDMI 1.3 output. According to product specification, the audio output signal over HDMI will be PCM. The player also outputs Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS. DTS HD will be downsampled to DTS Core just like the HD-E1.
