Question Pronto TSU7000 / RFX6000 RF issue

Hi,

I've got a Philips Pronto TSU7000 & RFX6000 which I ordered from the US last year.
Generally, everything's been very good but I've got an intermittent problem that's driving me nuts.

This is all to do with the RF extender. It's been working fine, but every so often it just seems to stop broadcasting and all my RF-controlled devices don't respond (IR ones are OK). I can usually get it working again by unplugging the device the the emitter cables in some combination and then putting it all back together again. I'm not really sure exactly what fixes it.

At the moment I've got a few new bits of kit incoming (and a recent Sky HD box) so things have been moving around, getting unplugged occassionally so I've been attributing it to that - maybe it's particularly sensitive, loose connection, etc?

The RFX6000 unit is American so it has it's own power adapter. In turn this goes into a 8-way extension lead (all used up). I don't know much about the whole power thing - could this be a factor at all?

Could any other device be interfering with this? I don't feel so as it seems to be all or nothing and I eventually seem to find a way of resetting it but I'm not sure how.

Has anyone got any pointers as to how I might find what's causing the problem? Or has anyone with these bits of kit had similar experiences?

Many thanks.
Simon

Go over to Remotecentral.com and do a search there or ask a question in the Philips Pronto NG forum. They really know about the Prontos on there.

Good luck
