Question HD CRT advice for Mac user and SD video

Dear all,

I have an old Sony 4:3 30" trinitron. It is connected to Telewest and a decent DVD player. It produces a great Standard Definition image from both.

Most importantly it is also connected to a Mac Mini. The screen is not capable of displaying a resolution which makes text readable. This means using EyeTV and iTunes is very hard and using email and the Web almost unbearable.

Is there a decent 32" 16:9 CRT which has real HD resolution but can play SD equally well? Ideally with at least 1 HDMI/DVI input for the Mac and 1 scart and 1 s-video input. Intergrated Freeview would also go down well.

Does anyone have direct experience of using a HD CRT TV with a computer?

Kind regards and thanks for all advice and suggestions in advance.

Andrew
