Philips 32pw6006/25 On/off Switch Problems!

Hi All,
I AM having trouble with a TV that belongs to my parents. It's a Philips 32PW6006/25 and it seems that the television switches itself off after a short time. The TV is also very tempramntal when being switched on, either by remote or with the button located on the tv itself. Sometimes it may take anything between 5 and 10 attempts to switch the TV on and then it may switch itself off again after 30 seconds or maybe 30 minutes, there doesn't seem to be a set length of time!!
Can anyone help?
I thought that changing the main on/off switch may be useful so if you think it's worth a go please let me know and where I can find one of course.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Lee.

It's unlikely to be the on-off switch causing your problem...possible but unlikely.
There are troublesome relays and other parts that can cause those symptoms...you'd be better off calling in an experienced engineer.
