Sugest a MP3 player

Now I realise that just about a billion programs play every format invented and Windows media comes already installed but I just lust,pray,yearn,hope,crave and desire a simple nononsence mp3 player. I have just battled for an age with Windows media player and failed to even get a playlist set up. I don't want it to scan,convert,alphabetise or make a library out of a dam thing. I don't want it to show TV,films,lyrics or upload,download,search,buy,sell or (pulling out my hair by the root) burn .... but just to drag n drop mp3 files from my HD into a playlist so I play music while I play WoW.

Please ANYONE HELP!!!!

Graham hi

You do not mention how much you want to spend.

For £189 gets you this

This is the one i use and where i bought it http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/5107506.htm

its great its future proof enough hard drive space for anyone i have 6,500 songs on and plenty of space left and i can drag and drop into the software
pros and cons you have to load the software in the computer first with the creative as windows dose not recognize it.

£99 gets you

Little bit fiddly as you have to add tracks in the order you want them but it's a very simple player, no nonsense and I suppose you could always use a separate playlist editor if you want to do playlists more quickly and easily.

If you're looking for something more fully-featured then look at;
http://coolplayer.sourceforge.net/?download
http://pages.infinit.net/tplayer/
Both are similarly simple but offer most features anyone could want or need.

Re: Sugest a MP3 player

Get an early version of winamp. Before it became the bloated version that it is now and before AOL got their mits on it. Do 5 minutes googling on versions of winamp. There is a website out there somehwere that has all versions of winamp. I know coz I was like you, kind of. I wanted a version of winamp that would play without installation.
