How much weight can it handle?

Where I am planning on putting the HD-E1 currently has an NTL pace box and a dvd player. I am either going to put a shelf in between the two, so the standard dvd player goes and gets replaced b ythe E1 (but its multi-region so its a shame if it has to go) or stack the ntl box and dvd player on top of the E1

Now, the DVD player is not very heavy at all, however, the ntl box is. Im not sure how heavy they are, but do you think the E1 could handle the weight, or do you think it needs its own shelf?

Thanks
Dave

Hi dave1de, what' the weight of your ntl box, surely it can't be that heavy right? If you don't mind stacking your equipment then it should be fine. Just make sure you leave some space on the back so that the E1 could breath.

Hmm well I would guess the 2 together are fairly heavy to lift, but I have no real means of weighing them, I guess they cannot weigh more than 5kg

Lol, I was considering putting a 19kg amp on top of an XE1 for a while but then again the E1's build isn't exactly the same as the XE1 but at 5kg, I'm sure it'd be ok.
