Panasonic 32" Tau Problems CT-32SL14
Hello everyone!!
I am having some color problems on my TV. The TV is only about 2 years old. I am not an extremly knowledgable Audo video guy. The problem occurs if I play a DVD or through the normal digital cable. It only ocurs on dark movies and shows etc.. I get a greenish tint and ghosting on the black/dark area of the screen. Last night i took the DVD out and played it in another TV/DVD player. I have a 27" Panasonic Tau all in one in the bedroom and the picture was perfect. I set the 32" inch settings to match the 27" settings and the problem is still there.
I have hooked up the DVD player/ Digital cable to the different A/V inputs to try to narrow it down to bad inputs. It didnt seem to help. This TV has a seperate set of HDTV inputs and I plugged in the box to it and that set of inputs is totally bad. When you plug in the video cable to the HDTV input, the screen goes like black and white with diagonal lines.
I have tried hooking up different DVD players and the results are the same. The cable company put in a new Digital DVR box with the same results.
Are there any common problems with these TV's I am thinking about getting it repaired because I am not really ready to buy a new TV yet. But if it is not worth repairing then I guess I will have to get something new. I have always had excellent luck with Panasonic equipment. I found the book for the TV and it says it has a 1 year warranty on everything except the CRT. The CRT has a 2 year warranty.Any thoughts, opinions, information would be greatly appreciated.
