View Full Version : R1 Corpse Bride won't play on Xbox 360 HD-DVD Drive
I recently received Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Tim Burton's Corpse Bride on R1 HD-DVD [I know HD-DVDs aren't region locked] from Axel Music. Having thoroughly enjoyed the former I sat down to watch Corpse Bride last night and found that it won't play on my Xbox 360 HD-DVD Drive :(
When I insert the HD-DVD the dashboard states that it's reading the disc but it doesn't seem to play, instead it just gives me the option to open the HD-DVD Drive, has anyone else encountered this problem?

I'm afraid not. I've just checked my copy and it's fine.

Works fine in my 360 HD-DVD.

Yep My R1 version works fine too. Looks like you've been unlucky :(
I emailed Axel Music shortly after posting this thread asking if I could return the disc for an exchange, much to my surprise I've just received a reply stating that I needn't worry about returning the non-playing disc and that they will send me a replacement ASAP, how's that for service...and on a Sunday night!?!? :eek:
EDIT: Received a shipping confirmation today [08/01] for the replacement, I'm astounded :grin:
Just a quick update to let you know that my replacement disc arrived yesterday [albeit in a normal slimline jewel case and not a full HD-DVD case] and it works fine, I can't rate Axel Music's customer service highly enough and will definately be using them a lot more in the future!
