Harmony 525 device switch on order

Hi,

I got myself a Harmony 525 just before Christmas, and I think I have finally got it setup how I want it, however there is one problem. I have a Samsung TV that takes 5 seconds to switch on, but the remote does this first before switching on anything else when running an activity. Is there anyway to set the remote to switch the other devices on before my TV, so things like the xbox will be booted up etc by the tiome the TV is on?

By the way this is an excellent remote.

Thanks

Gaz

Re: Harmony 525 device switch on order

You could try increasing the Power On Delay for the XBox to more than 5 seconds. The remote SHOULD turn on the devices with the longest power on delays first.

Failing that, tech support can set a fixed power on order...you'll probably have to ask for tier 2 though.

Re: Harmony 525 device switch on order

Thanks czzer

If I set the Power On Dely for the other devices, does that mean it will take the delayed times to turn everything on, for example my TV is set to 6000 ms at the moment because 5000 wasnt working correctly, if I put a delay on my xbox of say 6500, will it then take 12500 to switch on?

I will have a play around tonight, and may contact tech support.

No. Power On Delays aren't added together.

The Power On Delay is the delay from when the power command is sent to a device until a subsequent command is sent to that same device. The remote can send other commands while the "delay" is happening, as long as the commands are for different devices.
