dv29 - set up question - help please....

hi arcam world

just getting my dv29 today - can anyone suggest a good amp to match up with this dvd?.........i want to best use the audio out of the dvd to best effect.......

amp budget is £500 - new or used..........

any thanks in advance - i have trawled over the dv29 posts for 2 hours....but can't find a suggestion that gets me dashing out to buy a certain amp?

i currently have a pioneer vsx501 (which is quite a nice amp for its size and price i think...........but want to up the game a little)

HI,

In the Arcam world you will be able to get a secondhand AVR250 for that. If you stretch to £650 approx you can pick up a used AVR300. I have the DV29/AVR300 combination and its great!

I presume you are looking for an AV amp.

If so you are unlikely to find one around £500 that will do the DV29 justice. I would try to get hold of second hand AVR250 or AVR300. I would expect them to go for between £500-800 second hand.
