I've been to the last 4 or 5 shows. There is plenty of stuff to buy there. The signings of the guests are popular too. David Carradine was at the last show. There's usually plenty of Star Wars stuff, statues, comics, japanese collectibles, Shepperton Studios are usually there as well selling the replica Stormtrooper helmets, swords, autographs, artwork (some rubbish but some really good like the bits I have bought (http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=398873)). It's better for buying memorabilia than say the Collectormania (http://www.collectormania.com/) shows which are much more focussed on guest signings.

I have been a few times, went to the first ever one. Its got better every year. If you can get there easy enough then you really have to go.

Not been for a good few years, used to have a stall when Memorabillia was still young - 1995!!

Jonathan Ross and Jools Holland once bought stuff from me there!!

I hope you charged them a little bit more;)

I would go if I lived a bit closer, meant to be pretty good. As shown by the posts above.

Shepperton Studios won't be there any more, Lucus film has sued them for a few million and won:eek: due to ripping off the design.

really, thats a shame as the shepperton trooper buckets looked great.

Must be due to the fact that Luca$ has signed the deal with master replicas to produce helmets. Stormtrooper coming soon i'll bet

They were at the last one in November! That's a shame because the helmets were great. I really wanted a tie pilot helmet but the missus wouldn't agree to it.

I always have fun at Memorabilia. But then, I'm one of those oddballs that turn up in costume and hog the photo-ops with the guests ;)

I remember the Alien at the last show. That was pretty cool. Which one are you? You're not the hottie in the middle surely!
I notice that the Collectormania show at Manchester GMEX has been cancelled and moved to November.

Just about to book a ticket for the saturday and was wandering if it's worth getting the 'early bird' ticket?

It depends really. If you've got money in your pocket and you want to be sure to buy certain things that are likely to not be around for long then its worth it. Also if there is a big celebrity you can get queued up ahead of the crowds. There are usually good sized queues at the normal opening time.

What are the prices like here?? are they hiked up for this show or a bit cheaper than shops?

Sometimes they can be a little higher, but the thing to remember is that your home town might only have one specialist stockist of cool stuff, but here there will be lots of them together in the same big room. They will be competing against each other. Don't buy the first thing you see. Look around first.
