How would you like the future?
If some one gave you a spec sheet and told you to write down what you wanted in the future what would you choose?

No region coding.
No Extras.
Just high P & S quality.

Re: How would you like the future?
As long as there is a balance at the end of the day, I would like HD-DVD to win but if they dont it will not stop me buying blurry stuff.
Its such a shame both companys couldnt mingle and give good prices.

I agree, except for the extra's, I like seeing how films were made, what the actors are really like etc, but they can be in 4:3 at a low bitrate and in mono for all I care (to take up less space)

I am sure HD-DVD fans will LOVE the BD50/HD-DVD30 combo solution!

Why wouldn't anyone want the best of all worlds? TBH the poll is a bit naff - I would be happy with HD DVD30/15, BD50/25 or combis of each. It's the movie which matters and each has differing requirements: some need a HD DVD15 or BD25, some need a HD DVD30 or BD50.

So what did you vote then? HD-DVD30 is enough, I bet!
It's actually joke because I seriously doubt a BD50/HD-DVD30 effort would use different codecs. And of course we are back to the argument of which format is holding back the other!
Besides that extra 20GB of space is going to get used at some time, which I am sure HD-DVD fans will LOVE! :D

Strange how no ones going for the BD25/HD30 option, yet its what Warner want to push on us if they get their way.

Perhaps because there isn't a BD25/HD30 option in the poll...

Re: How would you like the future?
I think Sony should release a few BD50/HD-DVD30 titles just for a laugh!
