as thread heading says why are there 5 discs for the 3 mission impossible films? being hd i would have thought that film and extras were housed on 1 hd disc each making it three! i take it all three films are hd and not just the third! can someone please explain!:lease:

AFAIK the SD boxset is 5 discs & the HD boxset is 4 (Play and a couple of other suppliers have the HD listed incorrectly as 5 discs)
Yup, DVD is 5 discs and the HD box set is indeed 4 discs

Sometimes there isn't enough space to put everything (movie + extras) even for HD DVD. So you either have an extra disc or leave something out.
The Miami Vice HD DVD for example has less extras compared to the SD version - 3 items compared to 5 if I remember correctly.

Dont worry about disc numbers just buy it its a cracking set and mi3 is amazing.

MI3 has 2 discs because there are a fair few special features in HD, not just 480p like most special features.
