BD PCM audio info?

Can anyone give me a quick rundown on PCM audio?
I get the impression that this will be on most BD disks and that it's uncompressed (unlike DD and DTS which are lossy formats). Is that correct?
Additionally, is the PCM audio 16bit or 24bit?
Anyone done comparisons between DD and PCM?

Re: BD PCM audio info?

As it happens, found out some more about LPCM along the way. Looks like good stuff with uncompressed audio upto 24bit at 192khz.
