1st January 2007 HD Format Poll (and only two options!)

Oh no, not another (insert word of your own choice here) HD format poll.

I did think of just bumping BadAss's poll, but anyway....

Happy New Year - happy new poll!

I thought a new poll may more accurately reflect the current feelings of those interested in the two HD formats: Blu-ray Disc (BD) and HD-DVD.

The problem with a poll that may be a number of months (or even weeks) old, is that people change their minds. I did with regard to BD and HD-DVD, albeit a few months ago.

From past polls and posts here and on AVS, it appeared to me quite recently that HD-DVD had roughly 3:1 greater interest over BD. Perhaps things have changed over the last few weeks?

Just two options to keep it simple. This should clearly indicate peoples overall preference without the need for extra calculations and the usual "ah buts"! That said, I'm sure someone will say (or think) I should have added extra options - you are of course free to start your own poll!

Those who may already own, intend to buy or just have an interest in both formats; you will just have opt for the format that you tend to favour. Let's just say for arguments sake that one format was going to be scrapped and you had a say - which format would you keep?

Totally unfair really, but I just hate Sony.

Can't really say I'm a big Sony fan (being polite), but I would have bought into BD if I thought that it would end up being the prevalent format. Still time to jump ship again!

Not true as there are enough threads already dealing with exactly the same subject and the last thing that we want is more threads and polls covering the same ground yet again.
