Tivo and FTV decoder

How does the subscription work with an old on digital FTV box?

The model is a Pioneer T210. Does the Tivo change channels or do I need to set the timer on the FTV box?

Do other FTV boxes work with TIVO automatically?

The Infra-Red toggle functions for this, or set your Pioneer timer. How does the subscription work?...............same as if you had no FTA.
Tivo with FTA works fine.
