Work in progress....finally mounting my kit on the wall wall

Hi,
Recently joined the forums and tbh its kicked my *** into gear.

Today I finally mounted the surround speakers (its the Kefs 3005) and chased the cable into the wall (Its a new frame formed house so its plasterboard everywhere )
Because the wooden floor was already down I exited the cables on top of the skirting and ran them along behind the sofas in small conduit.This was the best option for me.
Obviously some final filling/sanding/painting to be done

here is my Sammy LE40R74 and the rest of the KEF's that I plan on mounting to the wall (just waiting on the mount to arrive).
And in the corner is my av reciever (as I am a noob to this I went for what seemed to me to be a reasonable model bang for buck) the Pioneer VSX1016 with the 6cd changer/player as well.
Im currently holding out for the Toshiba HD-XE1 dvd player ( but in the meantime been stocking up on some hd-dvd's )

For the mounting of the LCD and running in of the cables I have opted to attack it from the other side of the wall (the hallway) as any damage i do with be hidden by pictures

Any comments/advice/suggestions welcome

looking good so far rjay, nice install of the rears.Take some nice progress pics when you come to do the complete install.
Just to go off topic but where did you get the marvel pics from.

Hi Paul,
will post some progress pics, as for the marvel pics, they are actually canvas and came off ebay.If you search you can get them framed or unframed.the wolvie was framed the others I had done in a shop.
If you are interested search for the seller mainstreemartworks.
Very recommended or just do a search for pop art.

Yes its floor standing with a marble base.Got it for a reasonable price from ebay

Well, finally got the wall mount today so thought...lets go for it!!
Luckily the mount spanned two studs so I didnt have to open up the plasterboard to fix a noggin

I used a dry lining double box for the cables to come through, unfortunately ,where I planned to put it I hit a noggin right bang in the middle
After a bit of drilling and notching it fitted.At least there were no others between that and the bottom





so after trimming a blank plate this is what it looked like behind the tv...



And after the tv is fitted...



The power cord came out with the other cables behind the tv but it was in conduit upto the point of entry...below it came out in its own box.....



I have brought them out at the bottom like that as I havent decided on where my av rack or even some sork of unit (like the one shown next) is going.
The finsihed product so far........next job is to mount the front,left and right speakers with cables concealed...but for the moment..its saturday night and im having a drink

Finally got round to mounting all front speakers today.
With it being a plasterboard wall and needing noggins for the speakers I decided to attack it from the back in the hallway.
This is what it looks like after putting the boards back...just needs a little filling and painting



This is what its looking like from the front......



and where all cables exit the wall from...



And almost the final result....



Just a little of decorating to do and then to decide on a new unit and av rack.
All in all very pleased how it turned out.
