Can I connect sky sd box to upscaling dvd player

I have a samsung 26R74 HD tv and currently have my sky SD box connected to it via RGB scart. Can I connect the sky box to an upcaling dvd players input RGB scart and then connect the dvd player via HDMI cable to my television? Would I get improved picture quality as the DVD player is doing the upscaling?

Any comments welcomed...

Re: Can I connect sky sd box to upscaling dvd player

If it's a DVD Player, the Scart will be output only.

However, if it's a DVD recorder, it will have Scart In and Scart Out and what you're suggesting may well work, so why not try it for yourself?

Cheers,

Martin.
