Help Wanted

Hi All,we bought my son a sony vaio laptop for xmas of this forum but my youngst son whos 9 has been playing on it today and hes done sumthin to it were it used to be on my wireless network it is now searching fot an ip adress and is not connecting to the net iam not to technical butthink hes done sumthin to the network card or wirelees card anybody know how to fix this??? please help

Yeah ive tried that as well but to no avial,says sumthin like trying to get an ip adress and there is a exclamation mark there????

turn off security on the router and the wireless adapter. then see if it'll connect.

Security on the router is disabled now the laptop is wireless which would i turn off???

turn security off on both the router and wireless adapter.
