Re: Sideshow star wars figures

I've been collecting them since the line started..... now have Han, Luke, Obi, Qui, Kit, Ani, Vader, Mace and just got invoiced for Maul this morning plus a few more on pre-order

I find 12"ers can be a pain at times...... sometimes you can spend ages getting just one into an acceptable pose and I still have a lot (mainly from the buffy and angel lines) still to open and pose, if I can find the room and time...... personally like their Premium Format Figures too

Re: Sideshow star wars figures

my two 12"er cabinets...... still a work in progress (as it will probably always be) with a few pics still to go up and more to fit in and just got the Sideshow Aragorn last week so he will probably go in there somewhere too

Contents of one of the other cabinets is being moved around to make room for all the sideshow buffy and angel lines if they will fit and I get time to get them opened

Noticed you like the Gentle Giant stuff on another thread....... damn clones are starting to take over here too....... but have a few to move around before I would take a pic of them

Re: Sideshow star wars figures

Batman and Superman are both from Hot Toys, I did have a Medicom Batman but there stuff is a little smaller than everbody elses so went with the Hot Toys versions of both...... the 2 Jacks are from Medicom and side by side they are noticeably smaller scale, the Jack Bauer is on a stand at the back but you can notice Jack Sparrow even with his hat on is still slightly shorter than Superman

Which Han though??? I like both of them though the 12" one like the Luke in my opinion are a little on the skinny side around the waist

Premium Format's......... I just really like anyway and if you get one be pre-pared to 'need' more (I now have 11 of them around me with a few more on pre-order for next year)
The Star Wars humans have been getting better and better with the Obi and the Leia near spot on and I think my Han is very good although I have heard of a few with not so good paint jobs that ruins the face a little but for £99 at play at the minute I would have thought that was a steal

Although PF's are dear I think, for me anyway, its the smaller 12" figures and all the mini-busts that really end up costing more as you tend to buy more of them and are more selective with the bigger ones

Re: Sideshow star wars figures

Had them on pre-order last year from abc-express (who where recomended to me) on ebay before they came out..... if you can get one now expect to pay well over £100 for him.... sideshow sell some of there stuff through there website but have never done so with batman...... and not sure if Hot Toys ship outside asia

Takara also makes a Batman which is very good..... just stay away from the Medicom one unless you intend to display him apart from other 12" figures http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_073106a.htm

I just got each of the Star Wars PF's there corresponding Master Replica mini sabres and guns to display with them, dont have room or the bank account for the full size ones....... thank fully I never got into the prop replicas so I hope to stay away from them..... but as you have probably gathered by now I have low self control when it comes to collectibles

Also as you also seem to like Gentle Giant Stuff this may be of interest to you and I have two on pre-order already http://www.shopafx.com/stwadecocltr.html
