yes, so long as the tv has a suitable audio output. It is likely your pc speakers will run off a 3.5mm jack. If you plug this into the headphone socket on your tv it will most likely cut out the tv speakers, but if thats what you are after then thats fine.

Re: 2.1 pc speakers to a lcd tv

Thanks ye i think it would cut off the tvs speakers cause it would be going to the headphone jack on the tv. I would want to use the speakers on the tv at the same time as useing 2.1 external speakers how els could i do this and still be able to use the speakers on the tv ?

Thanks Mick

that depends on whats on the speakers. Are the speakers hard wired, or do you plug an audio lead into them, and does your TV have a set of audio outputs (red and white phono sockets).

Ye the tv has audio out on it, i dont have any external speakers for it yet i am on the look out for some and wanting to know how would be the best way to connect some. I was thinking a 2.1 pair of pc speakers but this would cut off the tvs speakers and i would want them working at the same time.

Sometimes better to cut off tv speakers as they're not in sync with additional

I have sumsung lcd and run with bose 301 via kenwood amp and there is an echo

have tried various output sockets on the tv and all create a sync.

No just mute the TV (a pain!) and run thru the amp.

Now planning on getting small pc speakers and running them in addition to the amp and switch beteween them and turn off tv speakers
