Monitor Audio Radius - Any good?

Hi all
I am thinking of buying a 5.1 speaker package to go with recentley acquired Cam. Audio 540 v2 amp . While the speakers will be mainly for cinema surround, I still want decent stereo thru fronts. Considering r225s fronts, r180 centre and r90s for rear (sub will be bk xls 200). The main reason for looking at MA Radius is size/looks, as physically they will fit very well with my current room setup, but I am concerned that I may be putting style over substance! Considering I will need to part with approx £800 for these speakers (plus £300 for sub) are they actually any good or can I do better for the money ?
I know that I should organise a demo before I buy, but would still appreciate any comments (especially from owners) or any alternative suggestions.

Thanks, Rob

Re: Monitor Audio Radius - Any good?

Would also be interested in any users views.

I am considering an upgrade of my speakers, and also want the fronts to be suitable on their own for music and bigger sound than I currently have.

I am considering the Radius 270 for fronts with 250 centre -but also wonder if this is a compromise with style and should consider something like the KEF iQ5?
