Wireless filesharing

Hi guys I need some help if at all possible. I have a NETGEAR wireless router, and a PC, 360 and Laptop all using it to surf/play games on.
My trouble is I can't get the PC and Laptop to fileshare. I have tried running the wizard, and the 2 can see each other, but not fileshare.
Are there any non-microsoft ways of doing this? If not can anyone help?

Re: Wireless filesharing

I'll ask the obvious first:
Have you 'shared' the folders you want to access from the other PC? Once the folders are shared they will be displayed with a hand along the bottom.

Do you get any errors when you try to access the shared folders? When I first set up shares I could access folders on my laptop from the PC, but got an error along the lines of 'not enough memory on server' when trying to access the PC from the laptop. With a bit of searching I found This that solved the problem for me.

HTH,
Mark.

Re: Wireless filesharing

Other obvious questions;

Are an administrator (or using an account with administration rights) and that the same accounts exists on both machines?

Are they both in the same workgroup?

When you say they can see each other is that at the top level of Network places and/or Entire Network/Microsoft Windows Network/<workgroup name>

If so this should work "out of the box" with XP SP2.
