View Full Version : Which Video Sender

I have an NTL service but I use the starview box to receive the channels instead of the normal NTL box.

I have the cable downstairs and now I need it upstairs but I dont want to get another digital box.

Instead, I want to use the same box downstairs and yet have the signals transmitted to my bedroom upstairs.

I wanted to know which Video Sender I should buy so I can do the following:

a) It must work with the Cable box I have (Starview). I suspect that if it works on an NTL box then it will work on mine.

b) Has multiple inputs so I can connect the Video Sender to my cable as well as my DVD player.

c) Has minimum interference with other devices such as wifi routers, cordless phones etc...

d) Has the best picture quality on the receiving TV.

e) Has extended remote capability so I can change the channels from upstairs in my bedroom

f) Preferably be able to watch a different channel upstairs to what's being shown downstairs.

g) Uses RGB as I've heard it has better picture quality than composite.

h) Has multiple channel switches for avoiding interference.

i) The receiving side has the ability to switch the source (Cable vs DVD) with the remote.

Thats's it. I'm not asking for much. :)

Know of any which can do most of the above?

Appreciate the recommendations,

JH

I seem to recall mention of a suitable one on another thread on this forum. It was about £100 for the set-up.
Ah, here it is (it's rather a long post) http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433300

Thanks for that. I've just bought the Video Sender recommended on that post.

Good one,
