URGENT Does the Garmin have "avoid congestion charge zone" function?

It's between the garmin 300 and the tom tom one, the tom tom is winning at the moment because it does definately avoid congestion charge zones.

Dos anyone know if the Garmin 300 does as well?

and if anyone has experience of both, which do you feel is better?

Urgent because I need it before next friday.

Thank you.

Good question!
I know my tomtom 5 which i had on my pda routed me through london when i asked it not to so i like to know also if all garmins actually route you around the congestion zone.

Hey,

Just phoned Garmin, and called a GPS specialist retailer they both confirmed that the Nuvi range all avoid the congestion charge zones under the "avoid toll road" preference.

Just ordered mine from Amazon with next day came in at £189.

Sweet.

TOY!!

Re: URGENT Does the Garmin have "avoid congestion charge zone" function?

I drive in london a lot and it always takes me the long way around. even when i switch it off on saturdays it avoids the area if it is set for quickest route, As if it knows it is slow through this area. However i usually switch mine to shortest route in london to avoid all the congested main roads.this then will take you through te congestion zone its ok on saturdays and sundays as the charge doesnt apply.
