TomTom One - Help please

Hi Everyone,

I have just taken a delivery of a TomTom one that I bought through Ebay. The unit looks as new and I have all the bits in the box including the product code.
I fitted the SD card and the unit worked fine. I then connected it to my PC and all was well here too. I then wanted to see exactly what was installed on the SD card so I plugged into my card reader. It showed various things and said that it was a 256 card and was 190 full. After putting the SD card back into the tom tom, the pc said the unit was disconnected and the TomTom says no card installed!!

When I put the card back in the card reader, it says "Disk not formatted, format now?"

Please help, what do I do now? I bought the unit as a gift for my wife for xmas but now I just feel really fed up by it all

Try rebooting the tomtom and reconnecting it to your PC. A reboot of the PC might also be useful. BTW you don't have to use a card reader to look at the SD card, just go to the drive in Windows Explorer thats been created when you connected up the TomTom via USB.

May also be worth pressing the reset button on TomTom when you reboot. After making changes to my card I find sometimes I have to reset..worth a try
