free orange or sky BB

Right i am in a position to change ISP in the next few weeks do i go with sky? or Orange? Your thoughts please?Currently with Demon but have given them the heave ho will probably pay the extra for the unlimted faster connection £5 pcm with orange and £10 with sky IIRC so who to go for?

I cannot say from experience, but purely going on what I have read on the forums at ADSL Guide, I would be tempted to go for Sky. Not all Sky customers are happy, but seems a higher percentage are compared to Orange.

If I could get the Sky Max package in my Area I would probably take a chance on it. Just do not like the 12 month contract though (I like to have an "escape" option if things go bad, as they often do in the world of ISPs. Todays heros are often tomorrows villains).

I assume you have checked to make sure you can definately get the Sky Max service?

yes can have skymax (are in a sky area) orange on paper is cheaper and better, Also BT state 6.5MB on the line so if i get 4 thats double the current 2MB max on current line (crap exchange)

BUMP anyone know what the orange WiFi router box is like or what it actually is? i would rather use my own adsl router but does the orange unit have VOIP built in it seems to indicate it does

You may find if you use your own router and have a technical problem Orange or Sky won't support you.

i have dealt with that issue before normally you can get them to tell you the info you need to connect they just wont help you with connection issues unless you swap back to their hardware.
