Hi all, hope someone can help with a problem I'm having.

Just had my Pioneer 436XDE ISF callibrated with very pleasing results. My only problem is that if I switch the plasma off (into standby) for more than 10 minutes, when I switch it back on, the picture mode has changed from the ISF DAY setting to the STANDARD setting. The dealer that carried out the callibration has said that this is normal because the ISF DAY setting is not one of the factory settings, so it seems to be only temporary while the plasma is on. Can anyone tell me if this is normal, it seems crazy to have all this work carried out to get the screen looking its best, then have to manually set the picture setting every time I turn it on!!

Thanks for any advice you can give

Pete

I have had the exact same problem with a set that I ISF calibrated. Pioneer are aware of the problem and I believe (though I cannot confirm for sure)have fixed it in the latest software for the 436XDE.

Call the dealer who supplied the screen and ask them to get Pioneer to update the software.

Will updating the software cause all the recent ISF settings to be lost?

Many thanks

I doubt the ISF settings will be lost but best to ask the Pioneer dealer before confirming the update.
