Has anyone managed to get PureVideo working under Vista RC2? I can:( not access any PureVideo settings when watching a DVD (in either MCE or Media Player). Acording to nVidia's manual the PureVideo icon should apear in the task bar when playing DVD's, but this does not apear to be the case. I've run a codec checker and it seems PureVideo is installed OK as it is listed as the default codec. Anyone else managed to get it working under Vista RC2? Any help would be much apreciated.

Some current programs dont work yet with vista, this could be one. Am sure those wonderful people at Microsoft will be working on the problem.

My 30 day PureVideo trial is about to run out, and I need to know if it's PureVideo, Vista, or my machine that is at fault!?

Purevideo dows work with vista, the problem is with the way codecs are handled in vista. After I had trouble getting mine to work I did a search and found a tool that worked with vista for changing the codec. The one MS supply (deccheck) doesnt work with vista. I am at work at the moment and dont have access to my HTPC where the download is.

At home now, this is what you need to change the decoder in vista.

Hi mannyo. Thanks for that - I downloaded it and, hey presto, PureVideo was not set as my default decoder. Changed it to PureVideo and finally the icon appeared in the task bar allowing me to change settings. Thanks again!
