R4 Fight Club compatible with R2?

I want to get Fight Club from cd-wow (nice and cheap ) but was wondering if the R4 version will also work in my R2-only player??

This link says region coding : 2, 4

Whats the verdict?

michaeldvd is a fairly reliable site. But I have the R4 of this disk (got it from Cd-wow as well). When I get home from work tonight I will set my DVD player specifically to Region 2 and let you know if it works Please send me a PM now to remind me

Matt,

Thanks for the PM reminder.

I forced my DVD player to be Region 2 only and you will be pleased to hear that my copy of Fight Club R4 worked fine so I'm sure yours will too

Eeexcellent as Mr Smithers would say. But.. just noticed it's a pre-release on cd-wow.

Fight Club(2 Discs) - Region 4
£12.99
Release/Despatch Date:
Thursday 15 Aug

Is this the same version as you've got Squirrel God??

thanks, Matt

Well, I got mine some time ago but I'm sure it will be fine. Once a disk is dual region coded, it usually stays dual region coded. Also, I don't know if you're aware of this but, up until a couple of days ago, they were only selling Fight Club Region 1. Before that they were selling Fight Club Region 4. Now it looks as if they are going back to Region 4. I think that date is there just because that is the date when their new stock comes in.

If you want to be double sure, contact cd-wow and ask them - they're usually very good with these things.
