Upgrade from Rel Quake

Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade from a Rel quake to a real sub and I've got a budget or around £500 - £600.

My room is approx 16' x 12'.

I've been thinking about the Monolith but just don't think it's going to be 'wife friendly' enough because of it's size.

I want 'proper' deep bass that I can feel as well as hear, am I likely to be happy with the new svs SB12plus ?

Anything else I should consider ? -

My other speakers are monitor audio radius, running from a Denon 3805.

Any advice gratefully accepted !!

If you can fit a Monolith in, it will go deeper and louder, all at the same time. But not by much in actual practice. Otherwise yes, you'll be happy with the SB12.

I've just spent an afternoon helping set an SB12 up and for the second time it has rearranged my perception of what a compact sub can do. It does justify the hype. Completely.

Thanks for that, as the BK is cheaper I think I'll try and mock up the size in cardboard while the mrs is out !! try and get an idea of whether it'd be appearing in the classifieds shortly after delivery or not !!!!!!

Cheers.
