Just an opinion, if I may............asking others for help, and then also asking them to search for the information they need in order to help you, is perhaps not a good way to go about getting the help you want.
In fact, as a co-operative sort, when I first read your thread yesterday, I did a search on ebay for the word "Eurovox" but found a number of devices....so I've little idea what exactly you are planning on buying.
You may get more help from others here is you are more precise about what, exactly, you have seen, and what you want to do with it. A link to your proposed purchase would be a good start.
For what it's worth.

Just to inform you that you will require it to be connected to Telewest or NTL. Also it would be best to buy one from ebay with the software already loaded. If you need any advice PM me and i can point you in the direction of a good site with some usefull info.
Looking at the link Sam posted, it could be any number of those boxes.
Some are satellite receivers, some are cable tv boxes. We really need to have the model specified or a link before we can help.
Two quick points, if it is a sat receiver it is unlikely to have the sky channels pre-programmed on it or RF2 style tvlink control.
If it is a cable tv box, there is a good chance it is in-compatible with the UK systems operated by NTL/Telewest/Virgin group
So, snowey, are you ever actually going to tell us what you're thinking of buying, or is it to remain a secret? :)

If its the cable box then i wouldn't of thought its discussion would be allowed here anyway?
Moving to cable, then (although I'm still not sure - it may belong with Satellite) ???
