895 help needed

Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong. I'm trying to learn the coloured buttons from my Toppy as they don't work be default. I am doing the following but getting nowhere.

go to devices
pvr
learn IR
select the buttons and click on learn
learn the buttons
click done
and then update the remote.

When you've updated the remote, what are you doing to test it?

If you are testing it with an Activity (i.e. Watch TV or Use PVR) then you may need to update the setup of the Activity so that it uses the commands you've just learnt. AFAIK they don't automatically get added at Activity level if you learn them at Device level but I may be wrong.

Re: 895 help needed

once you have taut the commands to the coloured buttons you need to map the commands to the colour buttons in each activity

Re: 895 help needed

Got the buttons working (I think) by going into activities, settings, change behaviour of buttons and adding them to the PVR list. Don't know if it's me being thick or not being on the same wave length as the software designers, but I don't find it exactly logical. I think it's going to be a long hard slog to get the remote the way I want it.
One other thing I am having trouble with is getting the TV switched to AV on startup. I think it is doing it but at the wrong time. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the time or order of the commands to suit.

Activities are independent to devices. You need to set both up.

For the TV, increase the Power On Delay. Look under Device -> More Options -> Adjust Delays
