Freeview reception problems...

Hello (new member here!!!)

Been searching the forums getting some great advice but cannot find anyone with these problems!

I have a CRT Panasonic idtv for half an hour or so the freeview reception is good. Then it starts breaking up and eventually going blank saying no signal. By turning the set off and on again will get you a few minutes before losing signal. It happens most at around 6pm onwards every evening, not as bad during the day.

As this was pretty annoying I have plugged in a freeview box this works fine all the time except the BBC channels they come on for a second then go blank.

I would be grateful if anyone could help?

Sounds like your TV needs fixing. It's not something daft like a low TV aerial, and at 6pm every night somebody parks a double-decker bus outside your house blocking the signal is it?

Sounds like too high a signal level. What's it measure?

Broadz: I thought it might be a problem with the TV. Time for a nice new one I think! Nope no buses outside! The aerial is up on the roof.

SamRadford: Do you mean signal quality? If so the channels vary from 7 to 9 out of 10.
