r2 lotr 6/8 realease (dd5.1ex) r2 nov (dd6.1+dts6.1)

if i purchase or hire r2 lotr the 2 disk august release (not bothered about extras) sound format described as dd5.1ex as i have (7) speaker set up with 3802 will i get proper sound effects from the 2 rear center speakers, r2 is dd+dts 6.1 (nov 4 disk set)would there be a worthwhile improvment in surround effects, bit lost in differance dd5.1es and 6.1es thank you

I would have to say yes judging by this comment by someone posting at hometheatreforum:

Also to mention the center rear speaker, it is the most active I have EVER heard it!! ususally I have to strain to hear it but not this time. I give this the nod as the best I have ever heard hands down. I can't imagine the dts-es being any better
